We reserve the use of Nitrous Oxide for those patients that dental treatment make them very anxious. Sometimes oral sedation (prescription of a pill) can be used instead or in combination with nitrous oxide in cases where the patient is extremely anxious. Other methods may also be utilized.

Nitrous oxide at room temperature, it is a colorless, non-flammable gas, with a slightly sweet odor and taste. After the dental treatment is completed, the patient receiving the Nitrous is put in 100% Oxygen to fully recover before leaving the office.
