A thorough exam is usually required to determine if you are a candidate for dental implants.

Dental Implants

The dentist can also help you determine if you have any medical conditions that might prevent you from getting a dental implant. We can also take x-rays to create a model of your mouth if you do not have any other medical conditions. We can also feel your gums.

Individuals who have had a trauma to their mouth or no tooth eruption may benefit from a single tooth dental implant.

Implant for one tooth

A single tooth implant is more desirable than a fixed bridge that attaches to multiple teeth.

Other teeth can support fixed bridges. These teeth are then taken out to make way for a cement-based bridge. A dental implant is used to replace the tooth that has been lost.

This will help preserve your bone.

What is a Single Dental Implant?

Implants are a surgically-placed metal device that replaces missing tooth.

This approach is used either by oral doctors or dental specialists (prosthodontists, periodontists).

One of the three types of dental implants is a dental implant.

An anchor is a metal device that is inserted into bone tissue in the upper and lower jaws.

A metallic device is an abutment. It is a metal device which attaches to the anchor by twisting its center. It connects with the prosthetic device.

Prosthetic apparatus (crowns/bridges, dentures).

The Surgical Process

Step 1 — Dental Implant

Make an appointment with Rancho Cucamonga dentist. They’ll clean the area and administer local anesthesia.

Then trim the gum tissue and fold it back.

They will then open the bone to prepare for drilling the actual dental implants.

After drilling a hole in the bone, the anchor for a crown is inserted.

The gum tissue will be then re-flapped. The anchor will be sewn to the area.

It takes 36 months to heal a lower-jaw dental implant. It takes approximately 4-6 months for a dental implant to heal because the bone density of the arch’s top arch may be lower than the arch.

Step 2 — Dental Implant

An implant anchor will attach the abutment to it. The implant anchor is attached and wrapped around the gum tissue.

The healing cap is removed after 2-4 weeks and the abutment can be found.

Step 3 — Dental Implant

To make the crown, you will need two places. Your dentist will place the crown on the abutment. The dentist hygienist can show you how to clean your gums and take care of them.

For a professional cleaning, consult your dentist. If you have any concerns regarding your dental implants, your dentist can help.
