Tooth pain is something you may have experienced. Because when a tooth nerve is exposed, it can result in sensitivity, discomfort and pain for many, but also overwhelming for others.

It can cause you to lose the enjoyment of certain foods and drinks and may indicate a deeper problem in your oral health. If this sounds familiar to you and you find eating nerve-wracking, see your dentist. They can diagnose the problem and treat it.

How Tooth Nerve pain occurs

Understanding how tooth nerve pain happens is possible only if you know a bit about your teeth and their surroundings. You can apply enamel to your teeth above and below the gum line. Cementum is applied below the gum line.

Both of them are responsible for protecting your teeth. Dentin is a soft and yellowish-colored mineral that contains tubules that connect to your inner nervous system. Dentin can cause irritation and pain by being exposed to the nerve. This can be caused by eating:

  • Hot food and beverages
  • Drinks and foods that contain sugar and acidic ingredients

How Tooth Sensitivity Is Born

Several scenarios can cause tooth sensitivity. These are listed in the American Dental Association:

  • Tooth decay (cavities)
  • Fractured Teeth
  • Wearn fillings
  • Gum disease
  • Broken tooth enamel
  • Exposed tooth root

Tooth sensitive Can be triggered by the same thing as nerve pain: being exposed to certain foods. However, nerve pain may occur if the nerve is exposed further. Sensitivity is, however, the result of nerve pain that is deeper into the tooth nerve. It can also be seen on the tooth’s surface.

Which foods you should avoid

It is possible to calm an irritation tooth nerve by avoiding the foods and drinks that can cause it. These are:

  • Hot beverages (coffees or teas).
  • According to the University of Nebraska Medical College, cold beverages (soda), can cause sensitivity and erode enamel.
  • Hot food (permit them to cool down)
  • Cold food (no ice cream, or other freezer products)
  • Get acidic foods like pickles, tomatoes, citrus fruits and beverages
  • Sweet foods Cookies, candy, pastries and beverages

How to Treat Tooth Nerve pain

There are several things you can do to effectively treat nerve pain. First, visit your dentist. They will perform an oral examination and help you determine the cause and extent of your pain. They will also recommend:

  • Properly Brush your teeth to ensure that you don’t damage your enamel
